Pre-Placement Exams


We work closely with your employer to make sure your pre-employment clearance is quick so you can start work as soon as possible. The most common type of clearance required is a physical which may include a standard physical exam, back evaluation, x-rays, and a drug screening. This helps your employer make sure that your position is a good fit for your current health.

It is our mission to provide the best possible therapy with rapid recovery for our patients through communication, education, and development of new ideas.

Modified Duty
Programs

 

We can design light/modified duty programs designed to minimize the length and costs of temporary disabilities related to any work injury. Our custom designed programs allow an employer to provide an injured employee who cannot perform the full duties of their pre-injury job classification with work having limited physical requirements.

Drug Screening

 

Our drug Screening Program is an excellent resource in helping you decrease substance abuse in the workplace. Pre-employment screening identifies potential employees who may be using drugs and probable cause testing is a diagnostic tool applied with work performance documentation. Post-injury association is isused to detect contributing factors.

Audiometric Testing

 

Audiometric testing monitors an employee's hearing over time. It also provides an opportunity for employers to educate employees about their hearing and the need to protect it. Our licensed and certified audiologist, performs baseline audiograms, annual audiograms, training, and follow up procedures in an audiometry booth.

HazMat Testing

 

Medical examinations are offered to employees who handle hazardous substances. These examinations are performed before and during employment to determine whether applicants or employees are physically able to perform their work. All examinations meet the medical evaluation requirements outlined by current OSHA regulations.

Medical Surveillance


HealthFirst can design programs designed to meet OSHA regulations that require certain employees receive regular medical examinations, including employees who may work with the following: occupational noise, respirators, hazardous waste, asbestos

lead, cholinesterase and chemicals. Our plans meet the medical evaluation requirements of OSHA.

Injury Treatment

 

In the event of an employee injury, HealthFirst can provide immediate and professional medical care to diagnose, treat and ultimately heal the injury. Our board certified physicians will guide both employer and employee through the recovery process, oversee the plan of care, and streamline the return to work timeframes to minimize loss of work and maximize healing.

Respiratory Testing

 

Spirometry is the most frequently performed test of pulmonary (lung) function. We measure how much air the lungs can hold and how well the respiratory system is able to move air into and out of the lungs. Because testing is based on a maximal forced exhalation, the accuracy of its results are highly dependent on the patient's best efforts.

Our on -location "Stay Well health Fairs" provide blood pressure screenings to cholesterol testing to skin cancer prevention and free samples. Our medical team at HealthFirst can provide employees with a broad array of wellness-based programs to keep them in shape and prevent any downtime due to sudden illness or sudden work-related injuries.
